Dick Hastings, M.Div., BCPCC, CCC

Dick brings decades of experience in counseling, ministry, and relationship education to Hastings Counseling & Conciliation Services. His approach combines Christian faith, practical guidance, and a shepherd’s concern for people navigating the demands of life, personal struggles, relational difficulties and conflict.

Dick holds a Master of Divinity from Western Seminary in Portland OR. He is a Board Certified Pastoral Christian Counselor and Certified Christian Conciliator. His professional memberships have included the American Counseling Association, the American Association of Christian Counselors, and the National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists.

Dick’s background includes 23 years as Executive Director of Educare Inc., 7 years ministry with CRU (formerly, Campus Crusade for Christ) and 7 years experience as a senior pastor. For 26 years, Dick and his wife were keynote speakers at FamilyLife’s ‘Weekend to Remember’ marriage conferences. He has also presented marriage seminars for Marine Corps units, Los Angeles Police Department and New York Police and Fire departments.

A Marine Corps combat veteran of Vietnam (67-68) Dick brings a broad perspective on life’s challenges and a deep commitment to helping people build, strengthen, and restore relationships where they matter most.

Dick and his wife have four married sons, six grandchildren, and will celebrate fifty years of marriage in March 2027.
